Greg Roe: Innovator, Coach, and FTA Co-Founder
Greg Roe connects emerging sports, innovation, business, and investment to help turn growing communities and unconventional ideas into scalable opportunities.
Greg’s value lies in connecting emerging sports with the people and resources that can help build, fund, scale, and commercialize them. He understands athlete communities and acrobatic disciplines from the inside, while also thinking in terms of business models, partnerships, technology, media, and long-term growth.
Across acrobatics and action sports, Greg focuses on connection, commercialization, and innovation — identifying growing communities, shaping new concepts, and bringing together athletes, operators, brands, investors, cities, universities, and media partners.
For investors and business partners, that creates access to emerging sports, athletes, creators, events, technology, and new commercial opportunities. For athletes, coaches, parks, and developing disciplines, it provides a bridge into the wider business and investment world.
Greg Roe Trampoline
Greg Roe, a former Team Canada trampoline athlete, is a pioneer in freestyle trampoline and a trailblazer in redefining the sport with creativity and innovation. As the first freestyle trampoline influencer, Roe developed Freestyle Trampoline under the Freestyle Trampoline Association, a new branch of acrobatics dubbed “The Sport Born On Instagram” by the Los Angeles Times. This discipline emphasizes athlete-driven training and competition, breaking away from traditional coaching models. A Canadian acrobatic specialist, kinesiologist, certified Level 2 coach, and entrepreneur, Roe has won multiple national championships in gymnastics and trampoline.
Roe’s daring skills and social media stunts have earned him appearances on America’s Got Talent (2015), Discovery Channel, Daily Planet, and Das Supertalent (Germany). As co-founder of the Freestyle Trampoline Association, Greg travels globally, hosting coaching clinics and collaborating with his assistant coach, Freestyle Freddy (@freestylefreddy_official). He also hosts The Roe Show, a podcast featuring Olympians, top athletes, and influencers.
Greg’s acrobatic journey began at age 8 when he excelled in gymnastics, becoming a national champion on parallel bars before transitioning to trampoline. His unique training approach combines his Kinesiology background with precise skill mechanics, resulting in unparalleled aerial awareness.
In 2012, Greg partnered with sports marketing professional Trish McGeer, launching GRT as a leader in extreme acrobatics. Their step-by-step Unified Theory method bridges the gap between competitive athletes and backyard enthusiasts, offering accessible online tutorials and global training clinics. GRT workshops focus on biomechanics, conditioning, flexibility, and mental preparation to create well-rounded athletes.
Level 3 Coach, Level 2 Powerlifting NCCP, Personal Trainer & Respect In Sport Certified.

“Greg brought an incredible amount of vision, energy, and creativity to the FTA. He has always had a unique ability to see what the sport could become, connect people around that vision, and push ideas forward that others might never have considered. His passion for the athletes and the community has played a huge role in helping us grow freestyle trampoline from an online movement into an international sport.”
